Cricket.
Cricket.
The sport of Cricket dates back as far as the 16th century. The first known reference is 17th January 1597. It is thought that cricket was created during Saxon or Norman times. It was also called creckett.
As the centuries went on, cricket progressed and developed. The final rules for the game were developed in 1774, nearly 200 years after being developed. International test matches were played as early as 1844. But there was still room for the game to develop. In 1971 the ODI or One Day match was played between England and Austrailia at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The original design for T20 cricket (20 overs) was devoloped by former NZ batsmen Martin Crowe. The offical rules were established in 2003.
Cricket has changed over time because my dad says Cricket used to be quite boring when the teams used to just tie all the time for test cricket but it's now exciting and new with T20 being introduded and ODI's and Test matches being played much more exciting.
