Queens birthday
THE QUEEN.
On April the twenty-first,1926, a small baby emerged, crying out. It was The Queen.
Many of us Kiwis celebrate the Queen's birthday on the first Monday of June,we celebrate The Queen's Birthday because New Zealand is in the British Commonwealth. We have a long weekend because it is celebrated on Monday so schools, shops and businesses close down for the day.
Some countries do (unlike New Zealand) not celebrate The Queen’s Birthday because they are not part of the British Commonwealth. My plans for the long weekend is to have a quiet time, helping dad out and doing some drawing.
HAPPY 90th QUEEN ELIZABETH!
