The facts about Easter

Easter is based on the Jewish belief about how Jesus Christ returned from the dead.

The Easter Bunny brings the eggs which resembles new life to children all over the

world.The bunny was originally  called the ‘Easter Hare’ and was a judge deciding on

which children were naughty or nice.The bunny was originally mentioned in a German book that was written in 1682 about the ‘Easter Hare’ delivering eggs to children.

The cross on the hot cross bun resembles the cross Jesus was tied to and is eaten on easter. The Easter Eggs are delivered by the Easter Bunny and resemble new

life.

Good Friday is a Christian holiday which remembers Jesus’ death at Calvary.

At home on Easter we go for an egg hunt and sometimes we get presents. For example last year I got a Secret Seven collection. Mum’s birthday is really close to Easter and once it really was on Easter! Mum pretended that her birthday was the

  day after because I was little and she didn't want to confuse me.
